MAZIS CHAMBERTIN
Cuvée de l’Olivier
Vintages produced : 2021
The Mazis Chambertin appellation wine has the same family spirit as the sumptuous crus of the Chambertin satellites.
However, there are nuances that set it apart.
Its colour is bright, ranging from dark ruby to black cherry, and its aromas suggest raspberry, redcurrant, liquorice and spices.
On the palate, power and elegance combine to create a complex harmony of sap and voluptuous flesh.
The precise tannins of the Mazis Chambertin appellation create a clash of textures.
Its aromatic complexity and, above all, its opulence mean that it can be laid down for a long time...
Lamb in sauce, coq au vin of course, glazed poultry and rib of beef will all be well-suited to the aromatic persistence of Mazis Chambertin.
At a time when the word "profitability" did not exist, small houses were built in the middle of the vineyards. In Burgundy, the local dialect refers to these hovels as "mazoyères" and "mazis".
